Shell Lake has a new ski club, Ski! Shell Lake,
and the trails at the
Red Barn campground are being groomed for
both striding and skating! There is a daily trail fee, or
you can join Ski! Shell Lake and ski all winter long.
In addition, Ski! Shell Lake is hosting Fun Days on Friday
evenings (in Spooner) and Sunday afternoons (in Shell Lake)
designated as times for youth and families to receive ski
instruction, and take part in games and other fun activities.

further east, near Long Lake, is Nordic Woods, a more extensive
trail system. Beaver Brook and Spooner City Park are maintained by the Glide
