Wildcat Mountain Bike Trails

The Washburn County Mountain Bike Association has built a new group of off-road mountain bike trails in the Washburn County Beaver Brook Forest Management Unit, also known as Unit 22.  This forest unit is located in the Township of Beaver Brook, just east of Hwy 53, south of Hwy 70, and north of County Road B.  It is just a few miles southeast of the City of Spooner and about 6 miles east of the City of Shell Lake.

Above is the bridge located just to the east of the Veteran's Cemetery.

At present (fall 08), three different singletrack trails have been cleared and are ready to ride.  The trails are still a little rough, and a map and compass are recommended (maps available at the Highway 70 Trail Head).  Stay tuned for further updates.  We are looking forward to providing some great off-road riding opportunities right here in Washburn County!

Would you like to get involved?  If you answered yes, please e-mail info@shelllakeonline.com for

more information.  We are looking for club members, as well as those interested in helping build the trails.

The trailhead is located on Hwy 70 a few miles east of Spooner.
