The Shell Lake Pavilion is the City's newest attraction!

Located between Memorial Park and the Municipal Campground on the shores of Shell Lake, the pavilion includes a covered performing arts stage (great for outdoor concerts), modern restrooms and concession areas.  The building is available to rent for any occasion by calling City Hall at (715) 468-7679.  The restrooms are available for use anytime (except winter months) by users of the beach and Memorial Park.

Center Performances

The Indianhead Arts & Education Center is scheduled to present weekly performances in June and July.  Following is the tentative schedule.  For more information, please see their web site, www.shelllakeartscenter.org  .

Fireworks!

Every July 3rd, the City of Shell Lake comes out to celebrate Independence Day in style.  There is live music and a dance.  At dusk, approximately 9:45 p.m., Shell Lake puts on an impressive fireworks display near Memorial Park over the lake - watch it from the large grassy area (see picture) near the Shell Lake Pavilion, or from your boat!  After the fireworks are over, the music and dancing continue.

 


•Other Events!  

•Every Wednesday Night June 4 through August 27 - the Morph Your Mind! Environmental Education Program at 7:30 p.m.   Topics include:  Monarchs, other butterflies, butterfly habitat, bees and wasps, sustainable agriculture and biodiversity, biotechnology and monoculture, organic food and nutrition, native plants, invasive species and clean water advocacy.   At Dusk,  Environmental films.  Topics include:  Migration of monarch butterfly, butterfly life cycle, organic gardening and biodiversity, biotechnology and agriculture, and protecting our water.  For more information, see www.happytonics.org .
